Today I took a break from an anatomy session and found a room labeled ping pong. I was with a guy from Sweden named Fredrick. We walked in, started playing, and I swiftly gave him a beatdown! Having lived in Korea for a couple years I was feeling the skill returning (I was also champion of the Carnival Cruise ship back in 1996). Then it all changed. Liu and Xiang walked in with a swagger I have never seen before. The 2 Asians armed with their own paddles walked in and asked the Swede and I if we wanted to play doubles. We knew we were in trouble but agreed to play doubles if we each took an Asian as teammate. Fredrick was first to return Xiang’s serve and didn’t touch 1 of the first 5 serves. I then served to Liu, and SHE put 4 of 5 slams down on the table. I served 1 into the net or she would have slammed that too. the score is now 5-5. Needless to say this pattern repeated until the score was knotted at 20-20! Luckily it was Fredrick’s turn to serve for the match. Xiang-Clark 22, Liu-Swede 20. The Swede and I quickly exited the room and vowed never to return!

Welcome to Hell

Negative 1. I hate the cold! The only thing worse than negative 1 is a sales meeting/training that lasts 2 weeks straight and getting word back from my buddies that the snow was top 3 ALL-TIME. That would really suck if that ever became a reality!
A thing of beauty

This year the VH1blogs staff of Elves have been out spying on their loyal readers and came upon these 2 things of beauty (yes both are readers. Hint: One is a STRONGMAN that inflicts pain on me whenever we ride! The other wears white loafers like Uncle Eddie and loves skin flicks! ). I admire both xmas light displays equally. Why you ask? I figure it is all in the eyes of the beholder. I realize the 1st set of lights represents an insanely fast Leadville time (something I lust for). The second shows pure PANACHE (Also an admirable trait)! Gentlemen for your Christmas spirit I salute you!!!
