Go Ride Jamie’s Junk

If you haven’t been on Jamie’s Junk head up to Corner Canyon and give it a go.

Here is an email I received from Jamie on Saturday

Everyone,
We had a great scout group and some other volunteers and trail bosses
out working on the trail today and got a lot accomplished.  I am
happy to report that the first two phases of  the trail are ready to
ride.  It totals 2 miles and drops you out on the old pipeline road
about 1/2 way down the canyon.  From there, you can just take a right
and head down the old road and around a couple of switchbacks and can
jump on Ghost Falls South by the 2 new bridges.  It’s a great loop and
a lot of fun.

We have all of phase 3 flagged, and part of phase 4 so we have more to
do, but it’s great to get a payoff for all the work that’s been done
so far.  We really need people to ride it and help us to pack it down
and get it “dialed in” so spread the word and let’s get some people up
there riding it.

Thanks for all of you who’ve helped construct these first two phases,
it looks great.  For those of you still looking to join us and help on
the next sections, I’ll keep you posted of trail work days on the
calendar.  Because of the Scout groups, we usually do Saturdays, but
we’ve gotten requests for other days, or evenings, so let me know if
you want to do another day and we’ll try to make it work.

Thanks,
Jamie

This trail is very rideable on a cross bike!

  1. “Go Ride Jamie’s Junk” – I’m not sure I’m comfortable with that.

  2. Rode it yesterday for the first time since it has been compacted. Definitely a fun, twisty trail.
